Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) is a composite material made from a polymer matrix reinforced with glass fibres. This combination results in a material that is strong, lightweight and resistant to various environmental factors.

FRP stair access structures are ideal in harsh, corrosive environments where metal staircases deteriorate quicky. Its lightweight nature has made FRP the preferred choice for installation on top of buildings, and on sensitive ground, where excessive weight loading poses challenges. The grating decking and stair treads are constructed with grit impregnated into the surface, creating a long-lasting anti-slip surface. This minimises the risk of delamination, and ensures user safety, which has increased importance in outdoor, exposed applications.
